LEEZOID, Evolve: CD

Evolve, the eight-track album from Washington act Leezoid, offers an emotional rollercoaster ride paired with incredibly impressive musicianship.

The first track, “Evolve,” jumpstarts the experience with high-energy, distorted guitar work, and sultry and sexy vocals that immediately hook in the listener. From there, the album’s sound contrasts between hard and soft tracks, creating a hypnotic listening experience. The album’s central theme mirrors the highs and lows of processing the end of a relationship from the melancholic musings of “Live Forever” and the beautiful and longing vocal performance of “Find It”; to torment in the instrumental-heavy “Last Night.”

Also featured is an exquisite cover of The Beatles’ classic “All You Need Is Love,” which fits in perfectly, thematically and sonically with the album’s use of hard guitar riffs and of soft vocal delivery. The CD version of Evolve also includes a series of visual art pieces for each track. This is a great album to vibe with when you want to get lost and feel deeply.”
